Dual World Champion and three time Olympic medallist

Born to be a champion!

Our experience in competition, programming and training is second to none in the world. We have programs suited to every level of experience and are experts at getting the most out of our students.

As a dual World Champion and three time Olympic medallist I have had a career that has spanned over 10 years. I now believe it is my responsibility to pass on the knowledge and experience I have gained over this period to the next generation of swimmers.
I grew up and did all my age group swimming in Port Macquarie, NSW. As a result of this, I am very passionate about engaging swimmers in country areas. I wasn’t a child prodigy; in fact I didn’t qualify for my first national championships until I was 14 years old. However, through hard work, consistency and dedication I qualified to represent Australia at the 2010 Commonwealth Games at just 18 years of age. A lot can happen in 4 years!
My story is one of big dreams and an even bigger work ethic. I have learned from the top coaches and mentors in the world and have been incredibly lucky to do so. My career has included 17 major international medals at Olympics, World Champs, Commonwealth Games and Pan Pacific Championships. I was the fastest swimmer in the world for 5 consecutive years and have swum more sub 48 second 100m Freestyle races than any other swimmer in history.

The Swim Squad is now my opportunity to give back to the swimming community. Allowing young athletes, their parents, coaches and clubs access to the knowledge I have used to get me to the pinnacle of my sport, as well as giving them access to some of the professionals in their fields that I have worked with during my career.
I now reside in Drummoyne, Sydney with my girlfriend Rose and Mini Dachshund – Olli. I still get down to the local pool and do some laps whenever time and weather permits, sometimes I even jump in for a session with my old squad at Ravenswood. I also workout at least six times a week to stay in the best shape possible. I believe this is important in setting a good example for the next generation. I am still passionate about swimming and follow all the latest news and results closely.
I have strong views on how to improve the sport in Australia and am continually forward thinking on this. I have a firm belief that the systems I have used throughout my career and the attitude that I have adapted can help any young athlete reach their full potential. I am a strong believer in making faster swimmers, smarter swimmers and well-rounded humans.
